We’ve just received word that a member of our staff has tested positive for Covid. Whistle Hop will be closed this evening while the rest of our staff gets tested and we do a thorough deep cleaning of the taproom and all our facilities. We will be closed tomorrow for Thanksgiving as planned so that our employees can spend the holiday with their families. Once all tests come back negative we will reopen. Fingers crossed that happens sooner than later. We will keep y’all posted.

On a personal note, While the safety of our staff and guests is always our number one priority, we are also devastated to have to shut our doors on one of our favorite nights of the year. Having grown up in Fairview, Thanksgiving-eve has become an unofficial homecoming of sorts for Tom and I. Seeing so many people we grew up with home for the holidays and out celebrating a night with their families is a highlight for us that we look forward to all year long. We are absolutely heartbroken to be missing out on that tonight.

Know that, on top of making sure all safety concerns are taken care of, we will be throwing all the excitement we had for tonight into making the best darn Christmas light display in all of Fairview. We love adding to it a little more each holiday season, and can’t wait to share what we’ve got planned this year. We hope our lights shining on 74 serves as beacon for everyone to know how grateful we are to be a part of this community. We also hope it reminds folks to stop in and enjoy our lights with us up close. It’s seeing the wonder in the smiling faces of our neighbors that makes things truly merry and bright. ✨🎄
